2012
A big path lies ahead of me and my clan.
Angus will commence his first year of high school - he currently lives with a daily dose of anticipation, fear and excitement.
Mr G has big challenges ahead professionally, his team growing and his responsibilities multiplying, getting a good balance between work and home, I know, is big for him.
As parents, Mr G and I are faced with our first born entering puberty, the teenage years. We will be challenged with keeping him safe, letting him take risks, adjusting our lenses about what is OK and not OK in terms of behaviour as he is no longer a little boy and will need allowances at times. We will also need to get used to what is changing in front of our eyes with his physical appearance as he grows into an adolescent.
Miss Moo will have her first year at Middle School, she is in a class with only one of her friends and will be challenged with making new connections and keeping old ones.
Tully has yet to identify any concerns for 2012 but has set some big goals around achieving his Grey Wolf Badge - the highest achievement in Cub Scouting.
Me - well I have some huge goals that MUST be achieved in terms of my health. Of course I will keep plugging through with my studies and this year will see me increase my working days from three to four.
In terms of parenting, my goal continues in that I just want to keep building a family that is strong in character. Rich in experience. Bonded in a healthy way, a way that provides acceptance and belonging and security always for each member.
My Blog? Well I hope to expand the subject matter on which I blog. Cover more of the stuff that I find interesting and socially pertinent. I hope to try new crafts and get "out there" and meet other crafters, I hope to take my hobbies from home and share it with others - I am keen to join up with some craft groups and maybe do some short courses. This year I WILL learn how to knit cables!
Community wise. I hope to reduce some of mine and my family's ways. I plan to spend less on throw away items, buy hand made / organic where possible. I aim to increase my efforts with Citizen Advocacy (a Non Government organisation that provides advocacy for people with intellectual disabilities ), i have been involved with CA for over 16 years and am now in the role of President - so you will all hear more about this.
2011 has taken me to so many beautiful blogs, taking me to so many beautiful places, showing me so many wondrous treasures. Thank you 2011 bloggers. Thank you also to all of you for following my blog in 2011 - I look forward to another year of bloggy goodness together!!

Looks like a very challenging and enjoyable year ahead... kids always seem to keep you on your toes, just when you think you have them all worked out they change and grow... and we wouldn't want it any other way!
